Amanda Ostrowski is 24 living in Cincinnati Ohio. She was born and raised in Doylestown Ohio which is near Akron/Cleveland. She has a brother named Gary Michael and a sister named Michelle. They are both high profile bowlers in the state of Ohio. She married the love of her life, William, 10-16-2004. She has 3 dogs, Brian,Zinger and Jakey as well as her cats.
She started couponing in 2006/2007 when she lost her job in the Telecom industry. Because of the economy, jobs were slim pickings. She didn't have a choice but to look for a way to save money. When she stumbled across a site teaching how to use coupons to save hundereds, she wished she would have started before! To supplement the income, it started by saving money on feeding her cats. It then snowballed into what she does today.
She was featured on the TLC hit show "Extreme Couponing" in 2010. The show was a huge eye opener to so many people. She was contacted by almost 500 people through facebook and online coupon sites asking for help.
One of the great things about couponing, is giving back. In 2010 alone, Amanda donated close to $35,000 worth of products to local area foodbanks/shelters and family members. 2011 looks even better!
Amanda currently is spending weekends showing others how to save money. She will hold a class for you and your co-workers/friends/family to learn how to get the great savings she does.
